The Space

I figured I would post some pictures of my "studio" and give a little tour for anyone who is interested.  It's just a little wall in my bedroom but it certainly does the job.  I received my lovely large craft table for Christmas two years ago and I was determined to fit it in my tiny bedroom (you would be surprised by the amount of furniture I have managed to fit in here)  I cleared off my bookshelf to fit my most frequently used supplies and the multiple of art books I am collecting.
When I was thinking about my space, I knew I wanted to have an inspiration board as well as a place to hang common tools so I found the cork board and then made the peg board from some in found in the basement and an old frame.  Of course I couldn't stop there so I painted a branch on it.
I filled it with little collectibles as well! Always cheers a place up.  The Linnea doll is from a book called Linnea in Monet's Garden.  I was a huge fan of Claude Monet when I was younger, still am.  The chair was a design project from a year ago.  It was supposed to go to this chair project but I fell in love with it.  Do you get the pun?  It's a HIGH chair! I know, I'm so clever.  Then I have my grandfathers old Polaroid and a Brownie J. from a neighbor.
Can you see I am a fan of color?  And magazine clippings.  I hoard magazines and eventually go through them one by one cutting out articles, images and colors.  The Russian nesting dolls are from my grandparents from their trip to St. Petersburg, so beautiful!

So that's it in a nutshell.  One day it would be great to have more space and lots of table room for cutting fabric and whatnot but that's what the living room is for!
If you have a special work space, tell me about it!
Better yet, send some pictures!
